Erika Selenne Quezada was born November 5, 1979 in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Her parents were very young and had to work hard long hours just to make ends meet.  Her father worked in and out of restaurant kitchens until making it as a head cook.  Her mother worked up to become what is known as a paralegal in Mexico.  Spending many hours home alone and with her neighborhood friends, she acquired her independent yet outgoing personality.

At the age of 11 her family moved to El Paso, TX where she spent the next 11 years.  She began 7th grade not knowing an ounce of English.  Motivated to communicate and meet new friends, she quickly learned the language and became fluent within a year while being a straight “A” student.

In High School she was very active in sports and drama.  Erika had very long days beginning with swimming before school and running cross-country after school. At the age of 15 her parents divorced.  Her mother worked very late hours and so Erika was given the responsibility of raising her baby brother, limiting any social time any teenager desires.

During High School she attained a major role in the school play “Cabaret.”  It was then that she gained the confidence to entertain.  Because the instability of home environment she moved 10 times going through 4 different high schools.  She finally graduated from Del Valle High school in May 1997.

After high school she attended the local community college par-time while working full time as a legal assistant for 3 years.  She then moved on to the University of Texas at El Paso pursuing a Public Relations Degree.  Lack of financial stability she decided to quit school for the time being and re-arrange her life.

It was when she decided to move to Florida to be with her boy friend and best friend, who would later become her Fiancé.  In the spring of 2005 she decided it was time to continue her dream of pursuing a career in broadcasting.  She enhanced her communication skills with very successful training routines.  Erika enrolled in the Connecticut School of Broadcasting where she obtained the experience and knowledge in Television and Radio production she has now.
